Military Members and
Families
The Red Cross movement began on a battle field.
Today, the same spirit is present wherever
American troops are deployed and anxious families
wait at home. Our brave men and women in the Armed
Forces face enough challenges without worrying
about how their loved ones will contact them in an
emergency - especially during times of conflict.
The American Red Cross helps members of the
military stay connected with their families during
times of personal crisis. When an emergency
strikes, the Red Cross helps families get messages
to and from their loved ones in the military - our
communication network operates 24 hours each day,
365 days each year. Whether stationed at sea, or
at a base far from home, military service members
can count on this assistance wherever they go.
Over the years, the Hazleton Chapter has been
there for thousands of military families in our
area.
When a
family member calls, please try to have the
service member’s full name including middle
initial, rank and branch of service, social
security number, and military address for our case
worker. During office hours call 570-752-7221, and
after hours call 1-800-696-3873.
